Walk the path of Spiritual Formation

Our Discipleship Pathway is a four-year journey of formation designed to help you become a more alive and resilient disciple of Jesus—rooted in community, shaped by Scripture and spiritual practice, sent into your God-given vocation.

Discipleship is not a program. It cannot be bought or bottled. However, we believe there is wisdom behind setting aside times of our lives for intentional, dedicated learning and practice in community. When Jesus called his disciples, he didn’t immediately charge them with the Great Commission, but walked with them daily for three years. The Discipleship Pathway is our best attempt to offer a dedicated experience to equip you for a life of faithful discipleship to Jesus.
The Discipleship Pathway is for those who desire deeper formation and are open to walking a long-term journey of growth alongside others.

The Discipleship Pathway unfolds over four years, with each year building on the last. Participants move through seasons of learning, practice, discernment, and integration—always grounded in community.

- Years 3-4: Primarily cohort based, formation by practice and relationship
- Ongoing participation in Small Groups
- Hybrid model, combining online and in-person experiences

What the Pathway Forms in Us

Rooted in Community

Ongoing participation in community through is the backbone of the Pathway. We learn to follow Jesus by staying with one another through joy, struggle, growth, and change—allowing the Spirit to form us through shared life. For most this will mean staying in your Refuge Small Group throughout the program.
Grounded in Scripture and Spiritual Practices

The Pathway grounds disciples in the story of Scripture and the way of Jesus through historic Christian practices. These rhythms shape our imagination, habits, and loves over time. We want participants to be equipped for a life of healthy engagement with Scripture and spiritual disciplines.
Living a Personal Rule of Life

Participants learn to create, live by, and adapt a personal Rule of Life—a flexible framework that supports sustainable, Spirit-led discipleship through every season of life. This is done in community where we learn to discern the voice of God and find freedom in intentional constraint.
Discerning & Living into Vocation

Discipleship is never just inward. The Pathway equips participants to discern their God-given vocation and live faithfully in their work and relationships. For most, this will not entail finding work in the church, but following God into the world, living God’s Kingdom into every corner of existence.
